I have been employed as a teacher of music and music technology for 3 years. I completed the Teach First Leadership Development Programme from 2017-19, completing my placement at Harris Academy Battersea, an outstanding inner-city school serving a low-income community in south London. During this time I lead curriculum planning and delivery for the KS3 Music cohorts and taught the vocational Level 2 BTEC qualification in Music at KS4 and CTEC Level 3 qualification at KS5.
Since 2019, I have been employed as a music teacher at Twyford CofE High School in Acton, an outstanding school with a music specialism and some of the largest A level and GCSE Music cohorts in the UK. Last year I lead curriculum planning for our KS4 GCSE Music cohorts, teaching A level Music (Edexcel), GCSE Music (AQA), and KS3 Music and Music Technology. This year I am taking on a pastoral role as the Assistant Head of Year 11, as well as leading a new vocational KS4 Music course, the Level 2 RSL qualification in music performance.
I am an enthusiastic Educator with a passion for outstanding teaching and learning and the drive to ensure that the students I teach make fantastic progress and secure the best possible results. This year my A-level music class achieved 100% B+, and my GCSE music class achieved 100% 6+, and 60% 7+. I would love the opportunity to share my musical knowledge and teaching expertise with individual students in need of further support as their Educator.
