I have just finished my undergraduate in classical archaeology and ancient history and am starting my master's in classical archaeology at Oxford. I have been an excavation member on several archaeological sites, including in Bulgaria. I have previously been a research intern for the National Trust, given lectures on my research at Oxford and published my first article in a journal.
Outside of my academic studies, I volunteer as a coin handler at Oxford's Ashmolean Museum, engaging the public with the museum's collection. I also volunteer to help take children with special educational needs around Oxford's museums; it is an uplifting and extremely rewarding experience to facilitate their 'meeting' with some of the treasures of the city. I was also my college's Disability Rep in my first year of university, which involved helping those with a diverse range of disabilities get access to the resources and adjustments they needed. As someone who struggled at school with dyslexia, I am passionate about helping students reach their full potential.
